Hello
back in March of this year I was looking for my blue tick dog that ran from me. I was driving up and down three Top Rd when I came upon Mr. Lewis. He was outside of the church and I stopped to ask him if he had seen my dog. He said he did not but he struck up a conversation with me. He asked me my name and I told him my name was David Lewis. He looked at me with a strange look and he said his name was David Lewis as well.
I only spoke to him for about 10 minutes but I can tell he was a special person just by the way he spoke to me.
I am sorry for your loss and I wish I was able to get to know Mr. Lewis

So saddened to hear of the loss of Earl. He was a kind gentle man who lived his life by example. He was a master craftsman and lots of his work is in many homes in the area. We would be wiser if we followed his example. My prayers are with all the family.

To a very special aunt and her family and friends....We are deeply saddened by this news. Earl is one of the sweetest and most humble and gentle men I have ever met on this earth. Aunt Martha.....excuse me......Aunt VC is one of my favorite aunts and substitute mother. I am her first nephew and I think she drug me around like a rag doll when I was little. Dear aunt VC.....dwell on these points.....You had 56 years on this earth with a wonderful husband......Earl had 56 years on this earth with a wonderful wife.....Not a lot of people can say this......VC and Earl will be together again in the future......Love to all......Tom and Thoa.....

As a kid, He called me “Cracker Jack” and made us pan cakes with chocolate gravy, and the best peanut butter fudge I have ever had. He made me a cedar hope chest that I passed on to my daughter. He took me to my first movie and to my first concert. He never told on me when I over heated the car.(sorry Dad). I remember so many good times and how he made us all laugh. He was a kind and gentle soul with the “Lewis” temper when it was necessary. He sacrificed so much for the sake of others and still succeeded in life. Tonight my heart breaks for everyone left behind. Give Granny a kiss for me when you get there. I love you Uncle Earl.
