Dear Lynn & Family, JC was one of the kindest souls I have ever known. A quiet, gentle spirit. Visited with JC & his family frequently many yrs ago. He always called me “Poll”. Earth is a little more dismal now that he is not in it but what a fine musician heaven has gained. I can imagine him playing that banjo; free, no pain; just waiting your arrival. Lynn, We are so very sorry to hear of J C’s. passing. Even though we knew it was coming it is still hard to believe and accept. Robert has so many fond memories of visiting JC & Family growing up. JC taught him & Jerry to play the guitar. Robert & Scott always enjoyed playing music with JC when we visited. He instilled the love of playing the guitar in Robert, Jerry, & Scott. Now, Scott’s Megan is trying her hand at it. Jim & Wilma Vannoy thought the world of JC. Maybe he is playing a tune for them in heaven right now. It just won’t be the same visiting West Jefferson and not seeing JC. You took good care of JC and made his life happy. We will visit you the next time we get down. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We will call you soon. We love you Lynn.

JC has been such a huge part of my life. From growing up and going to listen to him at various events, and just being part of our family. And when my youngest son was in daycare, JC would sit and rock him. Matt loved JC! I often joked that Lynn and JC would end up having to adopt him because he was so spoiled. What a legacy he has left behind! Lynn you are in my heart, thoughts and prayers.
