As a teenager, I worked in West Jefferson at John Henry Watson's sporting goods store. It was during that time that I met Mr. and Mrs. Blevins. They were two of the most kind-hearted people I have ever known. Mr. Blevins always greeted me with a smile and always had something nice to say. As a young man, his influence made quite an impression on me (I am now 62 years old).
