George was my mentor for everything to do with the theatre. I met him in 1978 when he came to manage the Philadelphia Theatre Company. I followed him to NY in 1980 to be a stage manager. He tutored me on all aspects of the business from the stage door up to the producers' office. I returned to Philly and started DMK Productions in 1985, using his company as my model. George mentored me through 20+ years of my business producing shows, concerts and events. He always took my phone calls. He always gave detailed advice. He was my Master's Degree in Theatre. George cared about the people working in the theatre. He instilled that caring in me. I will miss talking with him, as will so many of us who loved him.
