Naomi,you were a very special sister and I loved you dearly. During our growing up years,you were the "mom" when Mother was working. That wasn't an easy job with six younger siblings. In our adult lives we shared much joy,hurts, and sorrows. I miss you so much! I even reach for the phone to call... But I can be glad that you don't have to suffer anymore. Naomi was a very special first cousin to me. (My mother, Ola Miller Mash, was a sister to her father Ambrose Miller.) Naomi was a real blessing to me. We were older before we met and then we began to communicate by telephone. I enjoyed talking with her and getting to know her and learning about our family history from her. I will surely miss talking with her. When I had family members in the hospital at Statesville, she always came to visit them and would call to ask about them. She always came to my mother's birthday parties. My mother passed away 2 years ago at the age of 95, now Naomi can help celebrate with her in heaven. I am so happy to have shared those special times with Naomi. She will be dearly missed by me. Love, Kathy 10/03/08

Namoi was a good friend of my grandmother Belle Gibson they went to church together and Namoi and her family always took care driving my grandmother to church looking out after her visiting and assisting her. Naomi is a first cousin of mine . She blessed my life beyond words . Altho we lived 400 miles away from each other , she was always there for me . Always sending me cards and telling me she was praying for me as well as family members . Naomi had a beautiful heart and has left a hole in my heart . BUT she is with her Lord and savior . And Family that she loved so dearly . Our loss is Heavens gain . And for that I will rejoice .

James, and all the family, I'm saddened to learn of Naomi's death. She was our '57 BCHS classmate and a dear friend. She attended the 50th reunion and told me of her deep joy at being there. Naomi was a dear friend. We knew each other as children. We shared many things together as friends. I will certainly miss her and the many conversations we had together. I spent time in her home visiting with her and sharing different things we had in common. There will certainly be an emptiness in my life because she is gone. But I will treasure the memories we had together. Like the time we went to eat lunch at the K & W in Statesville and the lengthy time we sat there just talking old times and present times.
