Whether it was about work, music, family or motorcycles he could always keep you entertained. He is going to be missed greatly. He had a big heart and would always help anyone he could. He was a wonderful policeman as well. Cynthia, Alex, Hayden and the rest of the family know that the entire community is behind you and we will always be here for you. To Tommy's Family - Back around 94-95 I had to honor to meet and work with Tommy at Surry County 911 - Tommy was always laughing and making everyone else laugh - One of my best memories, was that every Saturday we worked together, Tommy would always tell me - "If the phone rings, you get it! I am watching Tom and Jerry!"
He will be missed by all -

I don't have the words to describe what a great guy Tommy was. I don't think I ever show him without a smile on his face. I count it a honor that I worked with and called Tommy friend. He will be missed in so many ways as a friend to all, police officer, husband and most of all great father. He so loved his family so, he was always talking about Cinthia or the kids. I know that it will be hard to go on without him but he would want you to live your life. You have a great family to help you and an extended lawenforcement family to help. Don't ever hestiate to call up on me to help. You and your kids are in our every pray.

There are no words to describe this kind of loss. He was such a likeable fellow. I had just saw him yesterday afternoon crossing the street in town and I rolled the window down to speak to him, not knowing this would be the last time I saw him. Just goes to show that we never know when we will see somebody for the last time. My heart goes out to his wife and children. He was so proud of his family. May God comfort their hearts and give them the strength to face life without him. Family - take comfort in knowing that God's word tells us "to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord." He is in a much better place than we are right now. His memory will live in our hearts forever.

WHEN GOD MADE POLICE OFFICERS:
When the Lord was creating Police Officers, he was into His sixth day of overtime when an angel appeared and said, "You're doing a lot of fiddling around on this one,"
And the Lord said, Have you read the spec on this order? A Police Officer has to be able to run five miles through alleys in the dark, scale walls, enter homes the health inspector wouldn't touch, and not wrinkle his uniform.
They have to be able to sit in an undercover car all day on a stakeout, cover a homicide scene that night, canvass the neighborhood for witnesses, and testify in court the next day. They have to be in top physical condition at all times, running on black coffee and half eaten meals. And they have to have six pairs of hands.
The angel shook his head slowly and said, "Six pairs of hands...No Way."
"It's not the hands that are causing me the problems," said the Lord, "It's the three pairs of eyes an officers has to have."
That's not on the standard model? asked the angel.
The Lord nodded. One pair that sees through a bulge in a pocket before he asks, "May I see what's in there sir?" (When they already know and wishes they had taken that accounting job.) Another pair here in the side of their head for their partners' safety. And another pair of eyes here in the front that can look at a bleeding victim and say, "You'll be alright ma'am, when they know it isn't so."
Lord, said the angel, touching his sleeve, "rest and work tomorrow."
"I can't," said the Lord, "I already have a model that can talk a 250 drunk into a patrol car without incident and feed a family of five on civil service paycheck."
The angel circled the model of the Police Officers very slowly, "Can it think?" he asked.
"You bet," said the Lord, "It can tell you elements of a hundred crimes, recite Miranda warnings in it's sleep; detain, investigate, search, and arrest a gang member on the street in less times than it takes five judges to debate the legality of the stop...and still it keeps its sense of humor.
This officer also has phenonmenal personal control. They can deal with crimes scenes painted in HELL, coax a confession from a child abuser, comfort a murder victim's family' and then read in the daily paper how Law Enforcement isn't sensitive to the rights of criminal suspects.
Finally, the angel bent over and ran his finger across the cheek of the Police Officer, "There's a leak," he pronounced, "I told you that you were trying to put too much into this model."
"That's not a leak," said the Lord, "It's a TEAR."
"What's the tear for?" asked the angel.
"It's for bottled-up emotions, for fallen comrades, for commitment to that funny piece of cloth called the AMERICAN FLAG, and for justice."
"You're a genius," said the angel.
The Lord looked sober, "I DIDN"T PUT IT THERE,"
he said.
I know in my heart that God was very proud of His model of "BEAMER." My husband and son worked with Beamer for several years...FAMILY Remember that God is the One who will be there for you at all times.

Beamer was just one of those rare, genuine individuals who always had time for everyone. It didn't matter where you ran into him or how tired he was, he would take time to talk and check in. Anytime I ran into him, we would end up talking about family-whether we were both looking for kids boots at Wal-Mart or pumping gas at Wilco. Beamer was such a compassionate man who took the time to care about people, even calling to get advice on how to help someone he was concerned about-what a blessing. He is missed so much.

Thank you Officer Beamer for your devotion to the community you served.
Thank you, family, for sharing this man with our community.

I am so sorry for your loss. Beamer was such a dear friend to me and I thought the world of him. On his vist's or his phone calls to the Credit Union he would always bring a smile to my face. On Friday, March 12th he came by and spent about 30 minutes with me and we talked about the past, of you and him dating and him pulling me twice in the same night for no headlights. He told me how much he loved you and what a lucky man he was to have such a wonderful wife. Cynthia he loved you so much. He also told me that it " should be a crime for you to look so good". I know we dont understand God's plans, but I am thankful for his plan of salvation that we all can accept and when we do that we have that promise to see our loved ones again someday. May Gods Grace be with you now and always. If you need anything please let me know. You are in my constant thoughts and prayers.
