Mr. Thomas Andrew Beamer, better known as "Tommy", age, 40, of West Jefferson, passed away Saturday evening, March 13, 2010 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Nave, Rev. Larry Beamer and Rev. Larry Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Beamer was born in Surry County on Friday, October 31, 1969 to the late Jack Allen Beamer and Mary Vance Beamer. He was a West Jefferson City Police Officer. He was a member of Warrensville Baptist Church. He loved riding his motorcycle and watching the Tarheel's play ball. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Lewis Beamer, of the home; a son, Hayden Beamer, of the home; a daughter, Alexis Beamer, of the home; his mother, Mary Vance Beamer, of Mt. Airy; two brothers, Bryan Beamer, of Mt. Airy and Larry Beamer and wife, Pat, of Bedford, VA; a sister, Kim Midkiff and husband, Bill, of the Black Mountain; five nieces also survive.
