Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Mrs. Underwood and your family, in the loss of your loved one. Though I have known Mr. Underwood just a short time he emphasized to me his love for his family, teaching and football. There was always a gleam in his eye as he spoke of either. I will remember his determination to "hit them first and hit them hard" when he played football. He wanted them to respect him on the next play and I am sure they did. I will also remember the kindness and admiration in his voice when he spoke of his family. You will cherish the your memories of him.
Truly his middle name reflects his place in your lives as well as mine . . . a real "Jewel".
