Ms. Barbara Lee Edwards, age 67, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Ashe County passed away Monday morning, April 26, 2010 at her father's home in New Smyrna, Florida. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 3:00pm at Bethany Cemetery in West Jefferson, NC with Rev. Owen Peeler officiating. Ms. Edwards was born in Ashe County on Sunday, January 31, 1943 to Charles Clayborn Edwards, Sr. and to the late Nina Kathleen Hartzog Edwards. She was a Supervisor for customer reservation for Delta Airlines, formerly with Northwest Airlines and Eastern Airlines. She is survived by her father, Charles Edwards, Sr. of West Jefferson and New Smyrna, Florida; a brother, Charles Edwards, Jr. and wife, Judy, of South Boston, VA; two nephews, Reed Edwards and wife, Leigh, of South Boston, VA and Chad Edwards, of Charlotte, NC; a great niece, Maelyn Edwards; a aunt, Norma Yates, of Fleetwood; two uncles, John Edwards and wife, Nancy and Kinny Edwards, all of West Jefferson also survive.
