Shirley,
Word comes to me of William's death. I grieve with you in these days of sorrow and loss. I hope you and all whom you hold dear may know the wondrous presence of the promised Comforter. You're a friend for whom I've always been appreciatively grateful--12 years, 1945-57, in the same classrooms/same teachers--our numbers dwindle but tender, indelible memories linger, ever. May God bless! Sincerely & with my love, John

Shirley and family, what a pleasure it was for us to get to know William and have him part of the BCCC family. It was a joy having him join our choir....we'll miss him and know you will, too. But he's singing and celebrating now with the One he wanted to be with. To God be the Glory! Love, Doug and Patsy

Willa Brown-Cecil posted a condolence
To the family of William, I remember him as an honorable man with a heart of gold. I was sad to read of his passing. Take comfort in the knowledge that he is with God. If you are wondering who I am, I was a nurse at Watauga Nursing Care Center when Effie South was a resident there and I had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with her family ( A special "hello" to Lessie). At that time my name was Willa Brown-Writer and I lived in Boone. I remarried after the death of my husband, and now live in Granite Falls, NC. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hugs to you all, Willa
