Patricia, I remember your Dad as being a well respected man in the community. When times were slower and the Park Vista Motel was booming. Brings good memories from my childhood. Thinking of you and your family.

I will miss Uncle Bill so much. He was the person that my dear Allen always rushed to see when we came for a visit. He loved hanging out in their yard or on the front porch of the old store. The store was the first place he came to, coming back from Vietnam and saw his grandpa and Umcle Bill coming down the steps to meet him! Visiting him at the Nursing Home the last 11 months is something I will treasure. Some visits were not as good as others. I remember the few times I got to take him outside in his wheelchair and the look on his face, the fresh air, the birds. I wheeled him around the parking lot and then I just sat on the bench and we talked. There were the times he wanted to race to the cafeteria and back in his wheelchair. Lets just say, when he was finished eating there was no waiting around, so you try not to be in his way on his return trip. He loved his family and was always asking about family members. I stopped and saw him on my way back from the beach last week because he had been in the hospital when I left.He scooted over for me to sit beside him on his bed.I held his hand and asked if he knew me.He said "Yes,You're my little niece who always comes to see me". I got him to take a couple of drinks of liquid but he would not eat.I saw two half smiles while I was there and was pleased. He did have a sense of humor I saw many times and we shared many laughs. He will be dearly missed by me and we even had opportunities to talk about the Lord and I'm trusting that he's in a much better place and rejoicing in seeing his loved ones and the Lord. Uncle Bill ,you are loved and you will be missed.

Dear Patricia & family,
I am very sorry about your Dad passing away from you, but just think how happy he is now to be with the LORD and his loved ones!
Janie also wanted me to tell you how sorry she was! We were talking about the times
me, her and David used to walk up to your Dad's store on Saturdays. We would talk to you a while, buy a few pieces of candy and a drink and buy some more batteries for that big radio we carried. Then we were ready for our journey back home!
Please let the Lord comfort you as only He can! God Bless you and your family!

Tonight I found Mr. Watson's obituary & we wanted to express our sadness to hear of his death. My husband & I enjoyed our first stay at Park Vista in July 1978 while on our honeymoon! Patricia, we will always remember how kind & sweet your parents were to us then & during subsequent stays. Over the last 32 years we've had many return visits & will ALWAYS cherish our times at Park Vista. Patricia, you & Wayde have always been just as delightful & friendly as your parents. In fact, about a month ago I called to make a reservation but discovered the phone number was not a working number. We assumed the motel had closed & we were quite distressed. It was only tonight that I was trying to find out if the motel was actually closed & found Mr. Watson's funeral notice. Please accept our condolences & our profound appreciation for many wonderful memories that we have because of your family. Park Vista was a pleasant, clean, quiet get-away run by the BEST folks - the Watsons & Hayworths. Y'all will not be forgotten!! God Bless each of you~~
