Dear Jones Family: Kermit was a much valued and loved member of Jefferson UMC. I have great memories of Kermit coming to church with Margaret Bare when I arrived in summer of 2004. Kermit was always open to my visits at home and later when he was at Villages and Margate. I admired his independent spirit and love of his family and friends. He was a man who loved the Lord and the church. We always prayed together. May the Lord bless your family in this time of loss and find comfort in the promise of the Resurrection. It was always a pleasure to chat with Kermit during the time he lived with us at the Villages of Ashe. He was a very intelligent man and seemed to be a treasure trove of history of this area. He always showed appreciation for the smallest thing one might do for him - A real gentleman. My sincere sympathy to your family at this time.

I know Mr. Jones was a well liked and respected man; his son, Jim, has been a dear friend of mine for many years. Mr. Jones, like my father, lived a good long life and is now in a better place. To the family, I am sorry for your loss. I will continue to remember you in my prayers.
