Marla, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I know how it is to loose a parent. It's a very difficult thing to do. One thing makes it easier is to know they are safe on God's beautiful shore and at total peace. They never have to hurt and be in pain and discomfort. My heart goes out to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that God will give you the strength you need to pull you through these sad times. May God Bless You!

Some our fondest memories throughout our lives were because Aunt Mary and Uncle Ben opened their home in NC to all of us to come and have fellowship for so many years!
We have too many beautiful memories to describe of Aunt Mary, but what is constant in all of them is the beauty that Aunt Mary had inside and out. Her faith and love of family was precious to all of us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to our family at this difficult time.

Marla, Bruce & Gentle Ben,
"Terrible Mary" was like a grandmother to Heather and I. I remember playing dress-up and she would let me wear all her costume jewelry (which I absolutely loved) and whenever you went inside she always had something delicious cooking. I still think it's crazy her nickname was "Terrible Mary" because we were so drawn to her warm, kind personality and so scared of "Gentle Ben's" tough exterior! Once we realized Ben was just as loving and sweet, I guess the silly nicknames just kind of stuck."Terrible Mary" was anything but terrible! I will always remember her warm heart! Love you all!

Dear Marla & Family,
I have the fondest memories of “Terrible Mary and “Gentle Ben growing up. They might as well have been our Grandparents, we were just as close. My sister and I had wonderful times visiting the cabin in the woods, hiking, feeding the animals, exploring, hearing the stories, laughing, and spending quality time together. Some of my best memories growing up included them. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, she will certainly be missed by many! She was a wonderful and amazing woman, mother, friend, role model & wife. Her marriage/friendship with Gentle Ben inspires me even today in my own marriage. I will keep her with me as an inspiration throughout my life. Love You! Heather Brown & Family
