So sorry to heat his news. I got to know Mr. Thompson briefly through Ashe County Schools. I spoke with him on serval ocassions and was such a nice man.

I went to school grades 1 thru 12 with Johnny,always smiling, good attitude, and wanting to talk(a good thing).So sorry for your loss.He could hit a softball(left handed) farther in the sixth grade than I ever have.

I was so sorry to hear of Johnny's passing. He was such a sweet and kind person and a very great friend to my family. Dear Uncle Johnny,
I still can't believe that you're gone....it seems like yesterday when I talked to you on the phone. You ALWAYS called me to check up on your big brother, my dad. You always had hope that someday he would get better and never gave up on him. I never thought you would reach heavens gates before my dad. Dad has a lot more to look forward to now when God calls him home....seeing you, his 3 children and his dad will be the first people he tracks down. There is a reason for everything and I have to believe this was God's plan.....sad for us...but God always knows what he is doing. I'll see you again someday Uncle Johnny...I promise. Until then I will miss those phone calls and the sound of you saying "luv yall" at the end of every phone conversation we had.
