Dear Kareis,
I was saddened to learn of the passing of your dear mother. You will recall how special your family has been to me for more than 50 years. Growing up with you and Claudie and Steve was an innocent and good time. Your mother was always so helpful and willing to share her musical talents. Being your classmate for 12 years was good too. I recall playing at your house on many occasions. I used to ride my bike to your house. Claude taught me a word game that I still pay to this day.
May's contribution to the school system and to the churches she served will not be forgotten. Although it has been a long time since she participated at MacPherson, I know there are those there who still remember her. And, Breezeood Avenue may no longer have any family dwellings as we remember, but the memories linger.
I hope you had a good birthday on August 15. I am afraid it was that big 5-9 as I was 59 on October 15.
Please accept my deepest sympathy. You have been through a lot, but God has sustained you. I always knew you were a stalwart person.
Remember, there are no friends like old friends, and I have known you at least 54 of those years!
God bless you and your family.
Love,
Don Snelgrove
