Aunt Claire you were a very special great aunt. I have always enjoyed our times together whether in Pa.or Nc. There was no question that you kept us well fed, even if we weren't hungry. I remember sitting on your porch watching Dad (little Moses) play in the stream across the road. I know you are in heaven please say hello to Granny and my Dad. I am so glad I got to see you this summer.
Love You,
Debbie

Dear Aunt Clair,
I will always remeber your smile and hugs. When we came to visit NC. your house was at the top of the list and we dare not miss it. We loved visiting with you and Uncle Raymond and eating your fantasic southeren cooking. It was always just a little snack that made the table want to groan there was sooo much food on it. Can not forget you red velvet cake and carried more then one back home to PA.
Gary, Gayle are so glad that they were able to visit with you this summer and that their 3 children got to meet you.
All of us are very sorry that we will not be able to be there on Sat. and honor your life. You made us all smile and feel loved.
Carol, Harold and family we are so sorry for your loss. She is now in the arms of God and all of the loved ones that went before her if that is any comfort to you. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have sweet memories of Aunt Clara. She was a dear lady, and I always felt welcome in her home. My mother was Hazel Riddle Shepherd. Sorry I cannot attend the funeral.

Thank you for your smile and pleasant ways. I can still hear your voice saying, "come when you can". We didn't get to visit much, but we knew you loved us. My mother "Hazel" loved you very much, please tell her "hello" for me now that you are in heaven. Harold and family and Carol and family, we are praying for you. May we rejoice, for faith has given way to sight and some day faith will give way to sight for all those who love His appearing. Our hearts are saddened by her passing, but we rejoice with her today, because the Bible says, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord".
From your neice in Tennessee - Sherry Shepherd Maines and husband Tommy.

Sorry the hear about your loss."GOD BLESS YOU ALL". Keep all the good memories you have of her growing up and as you became adults and she will still feel close. Its hard to give up a loved one but trust "God" that you will see her again and she will be in no more pain.
