Mrs. Erleen Farmer Lawrence, age 66, of Crumpler passed, away Friday evening, April 8, 2011 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 11:00 am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie McCoy and Rev. Mike Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Lawrence was born in Ashe County on June 23, 1944 to the late Everette Lester and Hester Elliott Farmer. She retired from Sara Lee Knit Products, where she worked in Quality Control, after retirement she worked at Wal-Mart a as Door Greeter. Erleen was known for her hard work. She will be missed by her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel K. Lawrence; two brothers, Paul Farmer and J.D. Farmer. She is survived by two sons, Danny E. Lawrence and wife Ronda, of Jefferson and Denny Lawrence and wife, Tammy, of Galax, VA; four brothers, Gale Farmer and wife, Judy, of Mountain City, TN, Dale Farmer and wife, Carolyn, of Creston, Jack Farmer and wife Volera, of Lansing and E.H. Farmer and wife, Billie, of Creston; two sisters, Velma Hickman and husband, Richard, of Maryland and Joyce Pope and husband Bill, of Mountain City, TN; two grandchildren, Kristy Shepherd and husband, David, of Lansing and Megan Lawrence, of Jefferson; two step grandchildren, Devin Hash and Ryan Hash; two sister-in-laws, Shirley Farmer of Lansing and Erleen Farmer, of Jefferson; several nieces & nephews also survive.
