Obituary of Madeline Thompson
Mrs. Madeline Foudray Thompson, age 71, of Jefferson, passed away Wednesday morning, May 11, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Boone Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on Sunday, October 15, 1939 to the late Belford and Lillie Belle Hatfield Foudray. She was the ladies department manager at Jon-Marc's Department Store. She was active at Nathans Creek United Methodist Church. Madeline was always a hard worker and enjoyed doing the work.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry George Thompson; a sister, Francis Clark and a brother, James Foudray.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by a daughter, Tonya Halsey and husband, Doug, of Jefferson; three brothers, Ronnie Foudray, of Nashville, TN, Junior Foudray, and wife, Joyce, of Marion, IN and Gil Foudray and wife, Linda, of Marion, IN; four sisters, Dorothy Miller and husband, Donald, of Marion, IN, Neva Loch, of Marion, IN, Laura Woodall, and husband, Ray, of Logonsport, IN and Iva Jean Hogon and husband, Paul, of Fort Wayne, IN; a special friend, Jerry Smith, of Jefferson; a grandson, Cory Douglas Thompson Halsey, of Jefferson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
