I always loved going out to see aunt gaye and uncle jerry when I was a kid.
Once, I wanted a bike like the other kids had and I couldn't afford it. I worked for Gaye doing odd jobs until I had earned enough money to buy a used one from one of the neighborhood kids. It was in pretty rough shape but Gaye helped me fix it up and she painted it for me and I was so proud of my new bike. She was so very special to me.
There are hundreds of memories like that. One of the best ones was when Gaye, Ann and Terry took Eddie and me to the beach. It was the first time that I ever saw the ocean. I have never forgotten it. Thank you Aunt Gaye. You will be truly missed!

Dear Vernon & family: We are so sorry to hear of your dear sister's Homegoing; we are sad here but so happy for her that she's gotten her ultimate healing & perfect peace & rest now. She is now an angel in God's heavenly choir & a beautiful flower in the Master's bouquet. Didn't know her here but we will see & know her There! Thank God, there will nothing bad happen There!
Y’all have been & will continue to be in our thots & prayers. May God's arms wrap around each one of ya surroundin' y'all w/peace & comfort, strength, rest & courage. May He grant y’all the love, mercy & grace sufficient to get ya thru this tryin' time & the days, weeks, months to follow as y’all adjust to life on earth w/o Gaye's sweet presence here. Keep faith in God & the peace of mind & heart that, for those of us who have received Jesus Christ as our Savior & Lord, we’ll all be together in Heaven someday to never part any more –that day cannot come soon enough. May God grant us all the patience in endurance as we await that Reunion in Heaven! Hope these sayings shared w/us in times like this in the past help sustain y'all as ya go thru this difficult time:
“Some we love are w/the Lord, & the Lord has promised to be w/us. If they are w/Him, & He is w/us, they cannot be far away!
“Often when life looks the darkest, that’s when God’s love shines the brightest.
“When someone ya love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.
“Death leaves a heartache nobody can heal. Love leaves memories nobody can steal. “
Prayer is the burden of a sigh, the falling of a tear, the upward glancing of the eye, when none but God is near.
God will turn our tragedies into triumphs, our poverty to riches, our pain to glory, & our defeat to victory!
“Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may lookin’ back in memories of Gaye help comfort you tomorrow {& the days to follow}.
PSALM 116:15: PRECIOUS IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD IS THE DEATH OF HIS SAINTS.
Love y'all & may God bless y'all w/many blessings includin’ peace & joy, love & prayers!

Jerry,Ann, Tony, Terri, Vernon and Marge: When I was little and Gaye was a teenager I remember going home with her in Old Field Creek one Sunday after church. She would play the piano and we would sing.
I babysat for her one summer when you all were small and aunt Dora was sick. We lost touch but then reconnected about 4-5 years ago. How very thankful I am that we did. We would e-mail about two times a week and I would visit her in the hospital when she was sick.
We never really caught up on "old days" and family. I will miss her.
For her death was a blessing but so difficult for the rest of her family.
Please know that I am praying for you all and let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
Life is short and we should all stay connected with our families.
May God grant you each peace.
