To the family:
We were so sorry to hear about the passing of Ned. We heard he was not doing well lastnight when we were at the movies. Tony...(We finally made it to see the Smurfs!) Tony, I hope that comment made you smile. I know you must be very sad and Kenadie and Kirklyn wanted to say something that would make you happy. There are really never any words one can say to take the pain we feel away when we lose someone we love. We just want you to know that Heaven is a beautiful place where there is no sickness or pain and no one ever dies. I am sure that Ned is sitting, having the time of his life, talking to Jesus. He will be missed but he will never truly be gone. You will ALWAYS keep him in your thoughts and in your hearts. Do not hesitate to call us if there is anything we can do for you and your family. Love and Prayers always.
David, Tanya, Kenadie and Kirklyn Hudler

I first met Ned after he fell on ice and broke his hip. It was late spring when I visited him. He talked about someone to mow his yard. I told him that I would do it. From that time, Ned, Peggy and Jan and me became good friends. I mowed Ned's yard for probably 5 years. I did a lot of handy work at their house and at the cafe in Lansing. Whe Trey was little and would break something or throw something upon the house he would say,"call the preacher". Ned started coming to church with Peggy. We began to have alot in common. I had always wanted to be a "short order cook" and Ned let me do it some at the cafe. I had a "ball". Jan and I can truly say that Ned and Peggy were good to us while we were their neighbors and the whole family was good to us as a pastor.
We will always treasure that friendship.
Tony and Kim, we will be praying for you and your family.

Tony, Peggy, and Kim--
Words of hope...hugs of comfort...memories of a special life! Uncle Ned was a very special part of my growing-up years! I grieve with you and hold all of you in my heart during this time of sadness. Peggy, I remember when you and Ned started dating. You always made him very happy. Thank you for giving him a life filled with happiness and love! Tony, I thought you were my own "little brother" when we were small! I always wanted you to go home with us from Grandma Ellen's house! Kim, I moved away before you were born and do not know you as well, but I send sympathy to you, too. Psalm 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted...." Deepest Sympathy to the whole family--Aunt Faye and Aunt Hazel, too! Ned grew up in a wonderful, caring family and found one of his own when he married Peggy. God's blessings of peace to everyone in the Eldreth family.
Ned's niece,

We want to express our sympathy to the family during this trying time. We know there are no words to take the pain away but we know that God will see you through this. Peggy, it has surely been a rough few months for you with losing so many loved ones but there is a day coming when we will NEVER have to say good-bye again. When I visited Ned in his home I was always so welcomed and I enjoyed the time there immensely. I was honored to have assisted with his care. He was a good man who loved his family and I will never forget his smile. We love all of you and again want you to know that we will certainly be praying for each of you.

Peggy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Ned when we were growing up. He was always good to me. I always used to love to go to the store when he had it in Lansing. Just want you to know you're in my thoughts and prayers. These kind of times seem so difficult to get through, but God gives us strength to pull through. Without him, we couldn't do it. He's not suffering anymore, I hope he keeps my Daddy company up ther on those streets of gold. I can just see them sitting there, by the river of life waiting for us. There are days, that I actually just sit and wonder and think of exactly what it will be like to see them again, face to face. It surely will be wonderful and worth all the trials we have endured here on this earth. May God bless each of you.

I will miss you Uncle Ned. I will never forget how you would come to grandma's after working the store and bring me soda. Every week-end you would take me to get my hair done. You were always happy go lucky and willing to do anything I asked. That was over 50yrs ago.
I'm thankful I got to see you last summer when I drove mom (Fay)up from Fl. My deepest prayers go out to the family.

Dear Mrs. Eldreth and family,
I am very sorry for your loss. Sadly I didn't get to meet Mr. Eldreth but, I know you from the movie theater and from Westwood and I am very sorry that you lost someone so close to you. And I hope that you and your family may find comfort in the Lord's words, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want...
...Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." taken from Psalm 23.
With deeply sympathy,
Nathalie Cabrera:)
