Mrs. Lena Maxine Pollard, age 73, of Germanton, NC died Friday morning, September 16, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Waller officiating. Burial will follow in the Scottsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Monday, two hours prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Pollard was born in Ashe County on August 17, 1938 to the late James William and Dossie Huffman Pollard. She worked at Thomasville Furniture. She is survived by three sons, Steve Patrick and wife Traci, of Greensboro, Rick Patrick and wife Kim, of Lenoir and David Patrick and wife Kim, of Bristol, TN; five brothers, Bill Pollard and wife Sandy, of Germantown, NC, Larry Pollard and wife Kathy, of Valdese, Harold Pollard and wife Geraline, of Crumpler, James Pollard and wife Pauline, of Jefferson and Earnest Pollard and wife Songia, of West Jefferson; two sisters, Gearl Farmer, of Germanton, NC and Lucille Waller, of Greensboro; eight grandchildren, Heather Davis and husband Chris, of Winston-Salem, Devin Patrick, of Hickory, Jennifer Patrick, of Lenoir, Kailey Lail, of Hickory, Caitlin Patrick, of Greensboro, Justin Patrick, of Lenoir and Peyton Patrick, of Greensboro, and Jordin Roseman of Hickory; several nieces and nephews also survive.
