Vivian, We are so sorry that we missed the funeral for Calvin. We didn't know anything about it until Friday. Teddy thought the world of Calvin and has hated it so much that he didn't know. I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Goodman's passing. I spent many, many days at his home in my younger years and was always made to feel welcome and went home well fed. I remember once Alan and I had been rabbit hunting up behind his home and I had missed one that was running straight at me. He laughed and said, "Those are the tough ones." He's right of course but based on the twinkle that was in his eye when he said it I think he was still giving me a little good natured jab. Thank you all for your friendship over the years. Calvin was a long time friend and a special man to many. I grew up with his Children, worked on his vehicles, and became accustomed to seeing him around the jail. He was a special man, always having something funny and offering encouragement to the young people he met. He will be greatly missed by those that knew him.

Dear Mrs. Goodman, Allan, Donnie, Joyce, Brenda and Linda, I am so sorry to hear of Calvin passing, I did not know that that he had passed away until today. I talked to Linda in Wal-Mart the other day and she told me that he was not doing well. I did'nt realize he was that sick, he was a wonderful kind person that I always enjoy seeing him coming through the door at my store. He was always happy and had a smile on his face, we had a lot of good times and memories here at Beaver Creek. He certainly was a kind and gentle person, he will be truly missed by all that had the honor of knowing him. Allan was a part of building the house that I live in today I know that you all were a very close knit family, that it is most important at this difficult time.
