Mrs. Minnie Alice Eldreth Miller, better known as "Alice" age 88, of Margate Health & Rehab Center passed away Saturday morning, December 17, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 1:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Miller was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, June 20, 1923 to the late John Eldreth. She retired from Phoenix Chair Plant. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Low Gap Baptist Church before it burnt down. She showed wonderful faith in the Lord through her life. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Monroe Miller on April 24, 2006 and a son, Robert Warren Miller on July 31, 2007. She is survived by a grandson, Chris Miller and wife, Angie, of West Jefferson; two great -granddaughters, Zoey Miller and Braylin Miller; several nieces and nephews also survive.
