I remember meeting Larry for the first time close to 20 years ago. Star Trek was on the tv, a bootle of Sundrop close by, he was cordial but aloof. Over time, he opened up and his wit and sarcasm was a challange to keep up with. As a homeschooling parent, he shared with my son, Simon his love of photography and computers, both of which he has continued to pursue in his adult life. It's sad but true, one does'nt truely contemplate anothers contributions until a time like this. I enjoyed my kinship with Larry. He is missed.

Larry was a good friend. His physical presence is missed. He was consistent in his character while he was with us. He would always make light of the most dire circumstance. That was his strength. I'm sure that is the way he would want to be remembered.

I had the pleasure of working with Larry in Arizona on the imaging implementation project for First National Bank of Arizona. He had a wonderful sense of humor, spoke fondly of his family, and was a true joy to be around. He will be missed.

Larry was one of the most interesting, friendly, and genuine guys I've ever met. He defined the phrase "down to earth." He smiled easily, laughed often, and never took himself too seriously. He was a walking collection of stories... those he told, those he made up, and sometimes those that just happened to him. Those he simply "was."
In my time at GMACCM, I travelled with Larry from Ireland to Japan, and many places inbetween, and his disarming style and wicked sense of humor got us through much hard work. Seeing "Dr. Tiff" on the Tokyo subway, wandering through Roppongi, or downing a beer with locals in Mullingar are memories that'll stay with me for life.
I'll never forget the man: his kind gentle ways, his great laugh, his consumate professionalism, his love for his family and home. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I would like to express my condolences and deepest sympathy to Nancy and her family during this difficult time. I would also like to express my gratitude for the contributions Larry made to his community, particularly the selfless volunteer work he performed while providing photography lessons to myself and other home schooled children from the Asheville area during the early 1990s. I am honored to have known Larry through the years and to have benefited from his generosity and good nature. He will not be forgotten.

Larry had a profound effect on my life, from offering me a job at his camera store, him and Nancy welcoming me into their home and treating me like family. I have so many wonderful memories. Though the years and the miles have separated us, my friendship with Larry has always been very special to me. I am truly a better person because of him.
Nancy, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Just remembering Larry at Matt's last Birthday celebration--he was smiling and happily grilling food for everyone, wrestling with his boys and tenderly carrying granddaughter Chelsea around.
We are so sorry for the family's loss.

As a colleague at Epitome Systems, Larry frequently mentioned his pride and affection for his wife and children and how difficult it was for him to spend so much time away from them. I am happy that for the past couple of years he was able to work at home in North Carolina as this gave him precious time with his family. I remember Larry as a committed and spirited individual who worked very hard for Epitome and his family. We will all miss Larry and it is a shame that he was taken from us at such a young age

I worked with Larry in Ireland with GMAC back in the day. He was a true gentleman, who always had an anecdote to share with colleagues and friends, and I know that his family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He will be very fondly remembered. Deepest sympathies during this time to his family and friends.
