I can't think of a soul who has inspired me more than Mildred Bledsoe. She loved life, loved and respected people from all walks of life, and genuinely cared for those who became a part of her life (even in the smallest capacity). She made the world a better place and she leaves her beautiful autograph on this world. RIP sweet Mildred.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mildred's entire family. Wow, what an amazing woman - she showed such strength, talent and humor. My Mom, Curly Mullins, loved her so much and still talks about all the fun times she spent in North Carolina. She loved her visits with Aunt Margaret and Mildred.
My Deepest Sympathy to the entire family - I cannot count the hours that I have spent at her talking at her kitchen table not how many biscuits with her chocolate gravy I have eatten. I will certainly never forget the look she could give when questioning mine and Dorothy's story about where we were headed. I loved being at her house. She was a fantastic lady.

I feel very blessed to have known this woman we call "MAW"... She was always amazed at how well my kids ate!! She was an amazing cook and I will treasure those 6 o'clock dinners! She will be greatly missed and I hope that I can do half the things she did when I get to be her age...RIP Mildred! ♥ ya
Brenda and Doug - I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Bledsoe. I loved visiting with her when I would take clothes for her to alter. She was a wonderful lady! I know you will miss her so much! May God comfort and sustain you at this very hard time.
Mildred definitely was a gifted conversationalist as well as a great seamtress and cook. I will always cherish the quilts and throws that she and I made together. She was 14k gold.
As a student at BCHS I worked on the appliances for the lunchroom folks. I would sneak down around 10:30 and she would fold up a napkin with a hot roll in it and hand it to me around the corner.
I thought the world of her.
