Mr. Ronald Tyler Cannell, better known as Ron, age 87, of Lansing passed away Wednesday morning, October 3, 2012 at his home. Memorial service will be held Saturday October 13, 2012 at 2:00pm at Bald Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Lawrence Goodman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm, one hour prior to the memorial service. Mr. Cannell was born in Norristown, PA on January 28, 1925 to the late Jacob and Anna Garner Cannell. He was a director at the YMCA. He is survived by his wife, Doris Wood Cannell; a son, Wayne Cannell, of Lansing; two daughters, Marjorie Shinkle, of Lansing and Marty Wetherhold, of Lansing; a son-in-law, Erwin Shinkle of Crumpler; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
