Mrs. Marla Miller Bare, age 46, of Millers Creek, formerly of Ashe County passed away Monday evening, March 25, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 1:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Day and Rev. Larry Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00pm on Friday, prior to the funeral service. Marla was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, March 8, 1967 to Wayne and Blanche Hart Miller. She was an Insurance Agent and worked for Farm Bureau Insurance. Marla was also licensed in real estate. She was a member of Sturgills Baptist Church but long attended Tuckerdale Baptist Church. Marla loved the outdoors. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a loving heart. She enjoyed life. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister and friend. She will be missed by all. Mrs. Bare is survived by her husband, of 20 years of marriage, Billy Dean Bare; a step son, Travis Bare, of Jefferson; her parents, Wayne & Blanche Miller, of Lansing; five brothers, Bill Miller and wife, Alia, of Lansing, Robert Miller, of Lansing, Monty Miller and wife, Jarrett, of Lansing, Mike Miller and wife, Linda, of Warrensville and Greg Miller and wife, Patti, of Lansing; a sister, Brenda Graybeal and husband, Pete, of Creston; special friends, Amy Shepherd Hall, of Laurel Springs and Haley & Hannah Cardwell, of Millers Creek; three step grandchildren, Rusty, Ethan and Noah; several nieces and nephews also survived. The family requests no food or flowers.
