My fondest memory of Aunt Ruth is the Christmas our family went to visit and she gave me and my sister, Janet, a Barbie doll dress each for our Barbie dolls which she had made. The dresses were a powder blue with a white placket embroidered with flowers down the front to the waist. She was a very talented seamstress. I will always remember the Barbie doll dress when I think of Aunt Ruth and her kindness and gentle spirit.
