We were so sorry to hear about Bud's passing. Whenever he was at our home to work on our alarm system, he always had a big smile on his face and just seemed to be a genuinely nice person. Family, please know that you're in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3,4 states “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death. Hope these words give you a new hope.

Bud was larger than life, a dear friend. His door was always open. Wherever Bud was, that's where people wanted to gather. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.

I've lost another uncle. "Uncle Bud" was not my blood, but my uncle all the same. He was always a phone call away, and always interested in mine and my family's life. He showed up for many milestones and celebrations, always happy to be there. And he opened up his home for many, many great times. Unselfish is perhaps the best single word to describe him. God Bless Bud and prayers to his brothers and their families who I know are mourning. Love to all, Ty

I considered Bud a true friend, we worked together in the mid 70s at The Northwestern Bank and even though we didn't see each other often we kept up with each other by phone. He was a true Southern Gentleman and will be missed by all that knew him.

To all the Owen family, So sorry about your loss of Bud. I always enjoyed being around him - a no nonsense and funny guy. I have many fond memories of my brother Lanney & I staying at Bud's house when I visited Ashe County from LA. We always laughed and talked until wee hours. I wish I could be at the celebration of Bud's life and his farewell. But I will be there in spirit. Joy in Los Angeles

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of a wonderful person who God wanted in Heaven. I'm so glad I got to spend an evening with Bud and all the friends recently. He seemed to have a really good time learning to play corn hole toss and he was good at it. Bud was the silent giant to me who was loved by all.

My loving thoughts and prayers go out to all who loved Bud - and that's a lot of people. Bud had the sweetest heart and was a dear friend to Tom and me for many years. During Tom's illness I could always count on Bud to be available to stay with Tom when I had to be away and I will be eternally grateful for that. Bud will be so missed by us who are left behind but I believe that he and Tom are together again telling stories and laughing just as they did in all the years past.
