I am so sorry for your loss. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3,4 states “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death. Hope these words give you a new hope.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. He always treated me like I was one of his own when we were growing up and my first car which was a 69 Chevelle that he painted black and was the first time that he ever used airplane paint. What a great job he did and also for all the many times he let me use his garage to work on my car. I have lots of great memories of him. You and the entire family will be in our prayers. God Bless

If you ever met Brownie, you never forgot him. He was always telling jokes and laughing. I am sure he had disappointments in life, but you would never know it because his philosophy was to make the best of life and always smile. I have been at People's lunch counter, Brownie would walk in and the whole place would light up because they know he had a "story" or "joke" to tell. I don't think he ever say a stranger. In his business, he treated everyone with respect and fairness. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was a special person. May God bless each of you as you face the tomorrows without him. I know it won't be easy, but know that he is dancing on the streets on heaven with no more pain and has his memory back.

I told Jerry that Brownie had passed away and he said that with Brownie's passing, an era in Ashe county is now gone. He build shields to keep the rain out of Jerry's right hand drive cars that were great, not to mention fixing all my bent fenders over the years. Even though he was great at his chosen profession, the thing I loved was all the stories he told. We extend our deepest sympathy to Dayne and Danny and the entire family. Truly, an icon in this county has passed.

Mitch and I are so sad about the loss of one of West Jefferson's finest, Brownie.
When we'd take one of our vehicles to him, we'd get take a seat in a old leathery aged one, and start listening to Brownie. Not about cars, but the stories he's lived. We never got in a hurry doing to see Brownine. In recent years, we would go visit, without any car problems, but just to talk.
Does the family know how McDonalds is feeling about his passing. He had a ritual of eating there, morning and noon. They knew what he wanted too. He would just day 'the usual.'
So glad he shared that wit
h me. He was a true man thruogh and through. What you see is what you get. We loved that. So true, no nonsense. Rarely found anymore in this changing world. He was honest, solid, and truthul. He knew where his life was going, never had regrets. What lessons we can all learn today. I take to my heart many things Brownie has told me over the years, so Brownie lives on!! Be proud family!!
