Mr. Johnny Lee Moser, age 79, of Charlotte passed away Friday afternoon, October 25, 2013 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery on Rich Hill with Masonic rites. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Moser was born in Union County on Friday, October 19, 1934 to the late Curtis and Velma Cox Moser. He had a 30 year career with the IRS as an Accountant, and was a dedicated Life member of the Excelsior Lodge #261 for 43 years. As a Mason he served as Master twice, Secretary for 10 years and Treasurer for 4 years. He also served as a Certified Lecturer and for 30 years he coached candidates preparing to complete their degree programs. He spent the final year of his life at the WhiteStone Masonic Home in Greensboro NC. He is survived by his wife; Betty Elliott Moser; one son; Mark Moser and wife Dawn of Greensboro; Two daughters; Leigh Ann Weathers and husband Robert of Overland Park, Kansas, and Ginny Moser and husband Todd Moore of Raleigh; one brother; Dave Moser and wife Sandra of Charlotte; three grandchildren; Greta Moser, Madeline Weathers, and Robbie Weathers.
