Isabel worked at Jon Marc, and when I was a little girl I can remember all the wise things she would share with me. She would always say no matter how bad things are, there is always someone worse off. OR if I was carrying more than I should, she would say, Don't make a lazy mans trip. Isabel was a special friend of mine from my early days at Riverview School through my banking life and beyond. She gave me my first job assisting in the school store selling Jack's Cookies. Isabel was always very kind and complementary to others. I will cherish all my wonderful memories from knowing such a fine lady.

To all of Isabel's family, Isabel will always be remembered as the caring lady who ran the school store at Riverview Elem/HS. When I use to go into JonMarc, we would always talk about the good ole days at Riverview. She said she remembered me but I always thought how could she possibly remember so many kids that went through Riverview. I came to the conclusion, she did remember me because she remembered my brothers and sister. I always respected Isabel for being the kind person that she was. I often wondered how she was doing after she moved to Winston. She will be missed by all of her Ashe County friends.

Sorry to hear about you mom. She was such a fine and pretty lady. I remember her working at the school store. After basketball practice, I would stop by and get me a Dr. Pepper to cool me off and the hurry to class.
I enjoyed talking to her after I was grown, seeing her and talking to her. She was good to visit my Aunt Beatrice Farmer and Aunt Hazel Roland in the Nursing Home.
You had a great Mom. May God wrap his arms around you and give you comfort.
