I will always remember rubbing your wrinkles at church as I was growing up. You always having at least a 1/2 piece of Juicy Fruit or Big Red gum for us. You musk oil perfume you wore. How you fixed your hair, makeup, and how beautiful you makeup was. I loved wearing your shoes and you didn't mind as long as we didn't scuff them up. I loved hearing you and pappaw sing. I know you are singing loud and proud now. I remember you taking out my potatoes because I didn't like mashed or potato soup.I remember getting my hair cut and permed just like you because I wanted to look like you. For some reason that look wasn't good for me. :) There are so many great and wonderful memories. The last 5 years of vacations with me as a adult are some of the best memories I will ever have. I loved every moment. I loved our talks and our hugs and kisses. I will always be Sissy to you. I love you so much. Tell Pappaw what I said to you and give him and Julie a giant hug and kiss from me. This Christmas Eve will not be the same here but I will celebrate with you on your anniversary because I know in my heart you are back with pappaw where you told me you wanted to be. I love you so much.

It"s Never easy to let go of those you love, but in my Heart, I know Hattie is where she wants to be, with her Beloved Husband Ralph, and with The Lord. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. Hattie was the most caring, and loving Lady I knew, and Man could she sing those Hymns. Shelia, Shirley, Jeannie, Lisa, and Michelle, ETC., I know your heart is breaking, and You feel a void already there, but I pray for comfort and peace, and joy for you. There is no love , like a Mothers love. I know My Mom went home to be with the Lord in 2002. I"m Praying that God will Wrap You all up In His Amazing Arms, and Give You Strength For The Days and Weeks To come.. I"m ALWAYS Here FOR You, May god Bless And Comfort You In This Sad Time...Love You All!!!

To Larry and Family we are so sorry about the loss of your Mother. We didn't know her well but we felt like we did because Larry was always talking about her and she loved Charlie's Home made FRUITCAKES.He made her cake a little early this year and we are so glad he did because she got to enjoy it before she got sick.We did get to go see her before she passed away and she finally got to meet the man that made her fruitcakes that she loved. You all will be in our prayers and we all know she is in HEAVEN WITH OUR LORD. May GOD BLESS YOU ALL and comfort you through this sad time.

Mamaw....I don't even know where to begin. You and Papaw together, were the most godly, loving, and caring couple I have ever known. You two showed us all what we want to be and what we want to have in our lives. I can hear you now saying "Ralph!" LOL!! That just makes me smile! Looking at your picture on this page, really shows what a beautiful woman you were on the outside, but as we all know, and I am sure everyone that had the privilege of knowing you knew, you were just as beautiful on the inside. Thank you for always being a shining example of the person I would want to be and I feel honored to have called you "Mamaw!" The trips to the Smokies and the endless times we went to the Singing in the Mountains will be times I will cherish forever! I love you!! I know that you are in such a peaceful place and you are reunited with the love your life: Papaw!! I feel sure Nikki and Julie are there too! What a celebration that will be! Until we see each other again....I will love and miss you always! Kim

I am so sorry for your loss. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death. Hope these words give you a new hope.
