Ron started dispatching the same time I started in law enforcement. I have worked countless shifts knowing that my life was in this great man's hands and I am proud to say he never let me down. Rest in peace dear friend.

I got to know Ron a few years ago when I as hired as a detention officer here in Ashe. We became a lot closer when I got on as a deputy a little over a year ago. Ron was a great dispatcher and a very good friend, I wish I could have met him sooner. I will never forget this one phrase he used to say everytime I walked into dispatch. He will be greatly missed at the Ashe County Sheriffs Office and by many others. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I do not know your family personally, I would like to share some encouraging thoughts from the Bible. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope.
