Mr. Ronald Elmer Fore, better known as “Ron” age 65, of Jefferson passed away Wednesday evening, April 16, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Elledge and Speaker Jim Hartley officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Saturday, two hours prior to the memorial service. Mr. Fore was born in Elkhart, Indiana on Tuesday, February 22, 1949. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam Conflict. He has lived in Ashe County for over 30 years. He worked at Ashley Ambulance Service, also a Dispatcher for the Ashe County Sheriff’s Department, and Lansing Fire Department. He was also a member of the Helton Ambulance Service. He was a loving husband, son and brother and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 20 years of marriage, Kathy Harry Fore; his parents, Bill & Doreen Fore of New Bern, NC; a sister, Janice Fore, of Sarasota, Florida; a special niece, Irelynd McClanahan; several nieces and nephews also survive.
