Obituary of Edward "Eddie" Franklin Adams
Edward Franklin Adams, better known as "Eddie" of Lansing passed away May 15, 2014 at his home.
Eddie was born December 25, 1972 in Jefferson and was 42 years old. He was preceded in death by his father; Rev. Tom Adams, his grandfathers; Rev. Vernie Adams and Paul Houck and a grandmother; Ruth Sharpe.
He is survived by his wife; Franny Poe Adams, three daughters; Kaitlyn Paige Adams of the home, Cassandra Dawn Adams (Will Hicks) of Todd, and Shawnee Jean Adams (Austin Clark) of Warrensville; his mother; Barbara Adams and grandmother; Lottie Adams; one brother, Tim Adams (Jennifer); two sisters; Cher Adams and Melena Church (Jacky). He is also survived by two grandchildren; Kailey Jones and Kason Hicks; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Eddie, a man of few words dearly loved his family. He was a good neighbor and a loyal friend. Eddie was an avid outdoorsman and loved the land. He enjoyed hunting, walking, and collecting rocks of all kinds especially flint and quartz found on the Roberts home place of his grandmother on Big Piney. Eddie worked hard to provide for his family; first at Oldham where he met that "little girl" Franny Poe who later became his wife and then at Dr. Pepper Bottling Company.
Services will be held May 21, 2014 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lloyd Day and Rev. Lundy Finley with burial following in the Sexton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12-2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Ashe County Rescue Squad, PO Box 639, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
