To the Hamby family from New York State;
What a great friendship Travis and I had over the phone as I worked with her on getting her manuscripts submitted to publishers. I recognize her talent as an author. More than that, we were on the same page biblically and had many uplifting and encouraging talks. We came upon the scene in the midst of changes in the publishing world when publishers have been accepting works of those who would do heavy marketing of their own, while the publishers made most of the profit. Travis was busy taking care of an ailing Daddy and ailing husband; marketing and book signing tours were not in God’s plan for her during those times. With the changes in publishing strategies, more entrepreneurs were developing software for easy and affordable methods of self publishing. Travis and I were working on just that. I am determined to continue this work for her. I believe her gifts are still alive. I believe she has left us a legacy for the world.

Tim & Ruthie- words are hard to find to express how much I love, admire, and truly respect the way you guys cared for your mother. Travis (and Carroll) raised 2 great kids. You both have in turn raised wonderful families of your own so the legacy continues. It's easy to do "the right thing" in good times. You all have proved the right thing can also be done in the hard times or the worst of times. I wish for you now the peace that only God can give, the peace He gave Travis in the end...the peace she is at now and will be forever. I wish for you memories of the good times and letting go of any bad times life has brought you. I am also thankful for each of your spouses. The love of family is second only to the love of God as you all know and God has greatly blessed you with loving spouses and children. In the midst of your tired bodies, minds and souls over the past 5 months, God and or through your families has "has worked everything for good". You'll see her soon I believe.

Dear Vickie and Chris, Tim and Teresa,
I am sorry for your loss - I know your mother loved you dearly. I will always treasure my friendship with Travis, she was a good friend. I have wonderful memories of Rook games with she and your dad. The last time I saw her, she was upbeat despite her illness, and hardly seemed sick at all that day. It was a good visit and we talked and laughed and it seemed just like ole times. Love and prayers to all of you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I do not know your family personally, I would like to share some encouraging thoughts from the Bible. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope.
